About Our Restaurant
Himalayan Café opened to its customers in May of 2015 with the intention to serve people living in Seattle and outskirt of Seattle. With Ikea being just
a block away, we thought we can get people from all around the Puget Sound. We are not just an Indian Restaurant, but also a full Nepali restaurant. The
owners being from India and Nepal, decided to open this fusion Restaurant since both Nepal and Northern part of India, especially Punjab shares the
same flavors. Both India and Nepal is different in every region and can amaze any cuisine connoisseur. Our food gets its characteristic taste, subtlety,
and aroma from the country's vast reservoir of spices. These spices are not just for flavor but also for color and natural health benefits.
We at Himalayan Café use very minimum to NO artificial colors in our food. The spices are like colors and our chefs play with these colorful spices to get
different colors just like how an artist would play with colors when painting a portrait. The red color of paprika gives the vibrant red color to our tandoori
dishes, the green color of the fresh mint gives the pleasant green color to our chutneys. The mixture of paprika and cream gives the nice color of orange to
most popular tikka masala sauce.
Relax! come enjoy the Himalayan Cusine.
